THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE SEA

The First Time In Saw The Sea is a curious and joyful exploration of memory. We follow Oscar, a brilliant composer, daring adventurer and hopeless romantic who loves to share a good story. Some might even say that Oscar prefers a good lie to a true story, but when he starts to forget his own stories, where do they go?
In an eternal quest for innovative ways to tell stories, YVA uses masks, music and narrative to straddle the line between comedy and tragedy, asking Who are we without our stories?
